Trademark News & Screw-ups ’90s shoe company challenges Rams, Chargers over trademark of ‘LA’

What's interesting is that 31 out of 32 trademarks that are returned if you do a search for "LA GEAR" are dead. The only one that is still live is the logo. Given that there are a number of LA {SOMETHING} trademarks all registered, among other things, for "sneakers," it does not look like LA GEAR's chances are very good indeed. Quite the opposite.
