Apple agrees to acquire a Chinese Trademark for $8 Million
Andrei Mincov's commentary on the original article
Are you still complaining about trademark registration being too expensive? Think how much would you pay to a trademark troll if they trademarked your brand first and then confronted you with two options: either you'd have to give up the brand you've been working so hard to build or you could buy it back from the trademark troll. Apple just chose the second option and paid $8 Million for it. What about you? If you would choose to abandon your brand or pay a just few hundred dollars for your brand, don't wait—change it now. It's worthless anyway. And if you'd consider paying 5, 6, or 7 figures to secure the legacy of your brand, why not make sure you own it outright for a lot less than that?
