Sometimes, even the biggest and most successful companies make stupid moves. It's not that Apple bought the trademarks from a third party company that had prior rights to the MEMOJI brand. It's that Apple listed the name with an (R) symbol next to it BEFORE it was a registered trademark they owned. And that's never a smart move.
