Trademark News & Screw-ups Kylie Jenner hit with copyright infringement lawsuit over ‘Life of Kylie’ promos

While ideas are not generally protected by copyright, the two images side by side show too much similarity for Jenner to claim that all she borrowed was the "idea of a lip closeup." The only question is, could Jenner show that Sara Pope actually does not own right in HER image, as that image may also have been copied from somewhere else. In other words, if you can't defend your own use, you attack the rights of the plaintiff.
