Trademark News & Screw-ups WWE News: Update on WWE Trying to Trademark Halloween Havoc, Raw Highlights & Fallout Videos

Two things are interesting about this. First, the objections WWE got on their own trademark application. With WWE owning close to 2000 trademarks in the U.S. alone, you would think they'd have come up with a template list of goods and services that USPTO invariably accepts without issues. It's interesting that this objection even came up. Second, WWE filed this application based on intent to use. It means WWE is not claiming that they are currently using or were using the trademark prior to the filing of the application. This makes me wonder what their position is going to be if they actually oppose KNB's application, which is also filed on intent-to-use basis. We have the right to this brand because our plan is better? One way or the other, KNB has either printed some free money for itself or created a major headache for WWE, or possibly both.
