Trademark News & Screw-ups Wynn Resorts files lawsuit against Resorts World for alleged trademark infringement

Here's what's going to happen since both parties have the resources to spend on this litigation. Wynn will present surveys showing that a lot of people when looking at Resorts World's building, think that it has something to do with Wynn Resorts. In its turn, Resorts World is going to present evidence showing hundreds of other buildings that use the same concept as Wynn buildings on the strip and thus trying to prove that the look is not a trademark owned by Wynn. Wynn is going to say, there may be other similar buildings out there, but there are only our buildings like this on the Strip. Resorts World is going to say that their building is actually quite different. And at the end of the day, the court is going to make a decision not based on what the trademark law says but based on what's best for Vegas.
